Missing a Piece?
Piece Replacement Policy
Fabled Figs LLC · Last Updated: May 29, 2026
We get it — there are few things more frustrating and disappointing than finally sitting down to build your set and realizing a piece is missing. We're collectors too, and we hate it just as much as you do. That's why we make every effort to get the right parts back into your hands. Here's how our piece replacement process works.
If something's wrong, we'll make it right
Mistakes happen — and when they do, we've got you. The roughly 5-pieces-per-order guideline below exists only to keep our free replacement program fair and to prevent abuse. It is not a cap on helping you with a genuine problem. If your order truly arrives wrong, incomplete, or damaged (as it sometimes does) we will absolutely make it right!
We're sorry a piece might be missing from your set. Before we send a replacement, a quick look in these spots solves it more often than you'd think. No shame in it, it happens to the best of us, our founder included.
Check your building area
Pieces are small and they love to wander. Scan your table, your lap, and the floor around you. A piece can roll off mid-build without you noticing. This one catches even our master builders.
Check the empty bags
A piece can tuck itself into the corner of a bag you've already emptied. Go back through each one before you toss them. Our founder is guilty of this too.
Borrow from another bag
Our factory does a good job keeping the right pieces in the right bags, but every so often one slips into the wrong one. If you're on bag 2 and the piece you need is sitting in bag 3, use it from bag 3 and keep building until you've checked them all. Some sets also include a master bag, often the last one, that holds the larger or unique pieces, so be sure to check there too.
Still missing it after all that, or missing your instruction booklet? No problem, that's what we're here for. Start a request below and we'll track it down.
Fill out the replacement request form
Tell us your order number, which set it was, and exactly which piece(s) are missing. A photo of what you received really helps us match the right parts.
Required to startWe confirm the parts
We'll review your request and confirm which pieces we can source. We can replace up to around 5 pieces per order.
We source & prepare them
We order the parts from our suppliers, then pick, pack, and prepare your replacements once they arrive.
Your replacements ship out
We send the pieces your way and let you know they're on the move.
What we replace
- ✓ Standard bricks, plates, and common elements
- ✓ Common minifigure parts (heads, torsos, legs, hands)
- ✓ Standard accessories and connectors
- ✓ Rare colors, special molds, and printed pieces
- ✓ Up to ~5 pieces per order
Rare exceptions, just in case
Right now we're able to replace every piece, even the cool rare ones. This short list is only here in case a part ever becomes impossible for us to source down the road, like a color that gets retired or a mold that stops being made:
- ◆ Rare colors or limited-time molds
- ◆ Special molds, prints, or one-off pieces
- ◆ Discontinued or limited-run parts no longer produced
Why there's a ~5-piece guideline
The roughly five-pieces-per-order guideline is there purely to keep our free replacement program fair and to discourage abuse. Unfortunately, a small number of people try to take advantage of generous policies. It is not meant to limit help for a real problem. If a larger number of pieces is genuinely missing, please still reach out: we'll look at it case by case, make it right, and find the best solution, which may include sending additional pieces, a replacement, or a return/partial refund under our Refund & Return Policy.
About those rare exceptions
Here's the honest version: right now, we're able to replace just about everything, the rare colors, the special molds, the printed pieces, all of it. We only flag those categories because somewhere down the road a specific part could become hard or impossible to get again, like a color that gets retired or a supplier that stops making a mold. If that ever happens with your piece, we'll tell you straight and work with you on the best next option. As things stand today, though, we've got you covered.
How long it takes
Replacements take time because we order the specific parts in for you. Here's a realistic picture:
1) Sourcing: it can take around 1–2 months to get the parts in, depending on our suppliers and shipping conditions.
2) Processing & handling: once the parts arrive, we need time to pick, pack, and prepare your replacements.
3) Delivery: then add standard shipping time for the package to reach you.
The short version: replacements can take a while — often a couple of months end to end. We know that's not instant, and we truly appreciate your patience while we track down the right parts.
